Someone once told me, ‘the adventure doesn’t start, until something goes wrong.’ As for our trip to Peru, the adventure started 12 hours after hitting the ground and it didn’t stop until the day we left. Exploring The Huayhuash with Joey and Thomas was incomparable in so many ways. It is by far the wildest, toughest and most exciting adventure I’ve so far had the privilege of enduring, and I can’t wait for the next one!
- FAVORITE TRIP MEAL:
- cheesy couscous with salami
- SKETCHIEST MOMENT:
- Other than seeing Joey knocked out and covered in blood, it was probably when I helped clear the road of rocks for our bus out of Cajatambo with a roof of loose rock barely holding on above our heads.
- BEST PIECE OF GEAR:
- Camelbak Fourteener backpack, I take that thing everywhere
- FUN FACT:
- I can now honestly say that I’ve spent the night on a floor covered in cow shit. But at least we were out of the rain.
